VertigoSo this weeks question is what  are the causes of vertigo attacks and why do they occur even in healthy young people.

Regardless of age, there are several most common causes of vertigo attacks:

1. Low blood pressure is among the most common causes of dizziness. A sharp fall in blood pressure leads to blackout before the eyes, heavy sweating  and accelerated heart rate when trying to stand up.  Although many things can cause low blood pressure,  the best fix for  dizziness is to sit and place the head down between your knees and  consume plenty of water. Some people swear by the cure of drinking milk, seasoned with salt.
2. Vertigo can be experience along with car and boat  sickness on a long journey.  The dizziness and sickness will disappear once you have been able to leave the vehicle or boat and rest and taken in plenty of fluids

3. Highly restrictive diets are one of the most common causes of dizziness. The limited intake of calories and nutrients lowers blood sugar levels, leading to fainting, dizziness, trembling. To get rid of ill effects, it is best to drink sugary drinks – such as tea with honey.
4. Fatigue can also lead to dizziness. Often after a noisy party or a very hard day at work, the following day one can feel very dizzy.

Usually vertigo will go quite quickly after resting, but if it continues to trouble you, it is best to consult a doctor.
