In the slow phase the brain hardly works, metabolism is minimal and you are breathing slowly and deeply. Awakened in this phase people rarely remember their dreams. The transition from slow to fast sleep is clear. Under closed eyelids the  pupils can be as active as when awake and breathing becomes quite rapid.   The brain can consume a lot of energy and worries during the day  and  nightmares often occur  when we are stressed or worried.  During the night we can have up to  6 cycles of sleep, each of which can last up to 2 hours. Many people are accustomed to believe that poor sleep must be the cause. . Indeed not. Disturbing dreams are actually a signal of any personal concerns of the people.  This may be some emotional experience associated with the unresolved issue or concern related to the expectation of any change. How to pass the mental breakdown

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

Shauting WomanIf a man waving his hands and broke dishes, it certainly has a mental breakdown. Indeed, in medicine term “mental breakdown” does not exist. Usually spoken language is called a strong nervous breakdown caused by stress or trauma, or temporary loss of self. In response to some external stimulus or a stressful situation the nervous system sends a warning signal – namely it is expressed in unexplained feeling of anxiety or fear. Man loses control of his emotions. Externally it looks like a sudden burst of anger, tears or laughter unexpectedly, but is possible and an option when there is no any movement. This means that the brain is disturbed biological balance and it does not reach certain substances such as serotonin, adrenaline, noradrenaline. Overwhelmed marrow seek an opportunity to “unlock” and then he became talkative, bold and careless, often seek peace in doses which in practice can not obtain. All this is guided by the desire to be removed from the physical stimulus. Each trifle could become the occasion for such a position – on the street congestion, loss of key random fray. Itself stress is not sufficient and able to cause disruption. Stimuli must accumulate to such a critical mass when the nervous system is no longer able to cope with them. More often this type of disorder occurs in women because men generally are not having to deal with both business and domestic duties. The most vulnerable category of people is between 30 and 40 years – so called. age with the greatest anxiety “when most children are still young, parents grow old and need care, but also career takes a long time.

How to keep your motivation to follow diet

Sunday, August 1st, 2010

Diet girlIt is clear: the motivation is something good and necessary. But sometimes seemed erratic – goes exactly where it’s not we want – in the middle of so good a weight loss program. And we are doing as well. Then, one day just the right direction and losing all interest in moving forward in the direction. I just noticed that our pants started to become wider and everything collapsed. And so we want to continue with the diet. But day after day, our best intentions slip and can not figure out how to motivate again. It is interesting how when motivation is high, a person feels full of energy, focused, driven to act decisively. Nothing can stand in our path and always moving in the right direction and doing things completely. But once you lose motivation, inertia prevails. We continue to say that we want to change, but we can not even go out the door. A packet of chips seems more easily achievable and desirable in planning, measuring and cooking. And yet – how to reclaim and motivation to stick to pre-selected program:
First, it is important to realize: the motivation is not constant. Do not “get” or riding freely, but must continually strive to maintain it. For this reason it is strictly an individual, ie everyone should find their own. Instead of depending on external crises which we operate, we can find a way to get up – cause reactions, to be energizing to the end, to achieving our goals. Indeed, motivation is an opportunity, not a burden or something annoying. Only with this attitude we can find the forces we need to support it.
Here are some ideas that can help us:

A people with a common appearance is often a family man with the same level of attractiveness. Does this mean that the more attractive and less attractive people evaluate differently the appearance of others? U.S. scientists Lee Leonard (Leonard Lee), George Loewenstein and Dan Ariely together with the creators of the popular dating site decided to test this hypothesis. The site people evaluate the attractiveness of others and tied dating from photographs. Researchers have analyzed the requirements of study participants to their partners and compared the data with human attractiveness (relying on estimates obtained from other users). It turns out that people really tend to choose a partner equal in attractiveness. Moreover, more attractive people are particularly demanding of the appearance of potential partners, but generally all tend to choose a partner who is more attractive than themselves.

Brain protein may be key to depression

Monday, July 5th, 2010

Depressed WomanThe scientists have discovered a protein that it seems a key role in the development of depression – a discovery that could radically change how to treat these diseases. Although long debated the role of serotonin to depression, scientists still are not sure of its meaning. Newly protein called P.11, apparently regulates how brain cells respond to serotonin and glucosamine sulphate, said researchers from Rockefeller University and the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, quoted by the journal Science. “We are all very excited about his discovery,” said Nobel laureate Paul Griyngard. “Scientists are looking for so long serotonin modulators. Newly P.11 protein obviously plays a major role both in the occurrence of depression and most likely in its treatment. Most drugs currently used against depression, aim to “deliver” more serotonin to brain cells. They proceed from the idea that the state of depression due to insufficient quantity of serotonin in the cells, but it is essential for transmitting signals between them. It is good to mention that the whey protein is helping to solve the depressions.
